Planting Seeds for Change 🌱

I write this as we move towards the spring of 2026. For many of us, Spring is a time to re-evaluate and reset for the coming year.

“Mighty oaks from little acorns grow”

This classic 14th-century proverb encapsulates the power of humble beginnings, potential, and steady growth. It reminds us that immense strength and greatness—like a massive oak—often start as small, overlooked, and patient seeds.

For those of us who follow the seasons, winter is the time for planting seeds while the outside lies fallow. A time for stillness, for being and for waiting. If the right seeds have been carefully planted, shoots will begin to emerge as warmer, lighter spring days approach. They already hold the blueprint necessary for their desired outcome.

It should then follow that, given the right nurture, these shoots will become tall, strong stems throughout the summer. They will eventually blossom and be harvested to form a beautiful bouquet in the autumn.

We can use this analogy, at any time of year, to help us find aligned sense and purpose.

Do you have the embryo of an idea for a business, but are uncertain how to move forward with it? Do you need clarity to help you nurture and ‘birth your baby’ into the world? It could be that we are struggling to build a strong client base and are looking for guidance and encouragement to help clear emotional blocks, fears or doubts that may be holding us back from attracting our ideal clients.

You may find yourself stuck and needing to re-evaluate your relationships or personal life to create the momentum to identify and implement any necessary changes for the better. Exploring difficult emotions or past traumas can help shift unhelpful patterns in more productive ways, improving communication and establishing clear boundaries.

Whatever the issue or situation you feel constrained by, the best solution is likely to emerge from a place of embodied knowing.

Your head may be full of thoughts and ideas floating around with no particular structure or relationship. Without embodiment, there is potentially a lack of cohesion and integration around these concepts. This can get in the way of your ability to see the way forward and bring anything to fruition.

Embodiment is a strong, direct and foundational relationship with our inner knowing.

It helps connect your mind, body, and soul, allowing you to create your own blueprint for the future.

By learning to build connections to your heart, gut, womb space or hara, you can allow your nervous system to feel into each and every scattered thought and idea. This enables you to knowingly identify which seeds to sow and nurture from a place of embodiment.

As with all planting, some essential weeding, pruning or additional feeding and fertilisation may be required along the way to maintain the blueprint of your desired outcome. This provides continual support and nurture, helping you move from planting the seeds, nurturing the seedlings, through growth, to finally harvesting the fruits of your labours.

Embodiment can also help you become more attuned to your authentic gifts and offerings and understand how much more powerful your message will be when coming from a place of clarity and embodiment.

Consider:

  • How movement can help shift stuck energy
  • How herbal teas and time in nature can be useful allies for the nervous system
  • How energy work can be of support

In addition, identifying the archetype you currently embody and the desired future archetype you aspire to can offer enlightenment, support, explanation, and direction for growth and positive outcomes.

I have recently completed training with Dr Sarah Coxon as a Regenerative Alchemy Advanced Somatic Coach. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more about how I can support you in exploring any blocks and unhelpful patterns that currently prevent you from fulfilling your potential.

The Ytene Healing® approach

The Ytene Healing® approach offers Somatic Coaching & Mentoring, Somatic Experiencing®, Biodynamic Craniosacral TherapyOsteodouce and Reiki and Animal Reiki to both human and animal clients, either in combination or independently.

The aim is to optimise the benefit for you and help you access your inherent health, which unfortunately can become trapped in the body as a result of trauma. Working slowly, respectfully, and at a pace you are comfortable with, I facilitate as physical and emotional patterns and restrictions in the mind/body system are released, enabling a shift towards physical and emotional equilibrium.

All the therapies offered are gentle by nature but can elicit profound healing. I guide you through the session at a pace which allows time for titration, pendulation and integration. We may pause occasionally for you to reattune to any shifts which have taken place. I may also encourage you to move your body a little to facilitate any integration as required.

Contact me to book an appointment or find out more about the therapies I offer.

Sessions are intended to complement, not replace, the relationship you have with your medical practitioner. If you have or suspect you have a health problem, please see your Doctor.
